Phyllonemus filinemus

Phyllonemus typus and Phyllonemus filinemus are a pair of small brown catfish from Lake Tanganyika that look very similar. The prime difference visible to aquarists is the shape of the whiskers. On Phyllonemus typus these are thickened somewhat at the ends, whereas on Phyllonemus filinemus they are thin and thread-like.
