Fish information (behaviour and breeding):

Large, opportunistic sleeper goby that mostly eats insect larvae and other small invertebrates but also consumes some algae and plant material. In captivity it should be given a similar diet to that of other large sleepers, including both meaty and green foods such as chopped seafood, tilapia fillet, earthworms, cooked peas and cooked spinach.

As adults wild fish are found mostly in freshwater habitats but after breeding the larvae drift down to the sea where the fry develop.
