Oregon State University names new species of fish after Irish singer Enya

Oregon State University researchers have named a new species of fish after the songwriter, the Leporinus enyae. The fish was found in the Orinoco River drainage, located in Brazil’s Xingu River and has won its name by virtue of the fact that the project leader was playing the Enya song “Orinoco Flow” whilst working on the fish in this locality.
