At Tropicalfishfinder we would always advise hobbyists to visit your local shop to buy your fish because it reduces the travel time for the fish and therefore the stress of being moved. However in the instances where the fish that you want are available at a shop that is too far for travel it then makes sense to utilise mail order if it is available. There is no reason why fish packed in a safe manner cannot be transported safely to your door within a 24 hour period.
