A pretty barb, pinkish-orange with two black spots on the flanks, one behind the gills and another close to the base of the tail. The dorsal fin is edged with red, and the other fins are marked with orange or pink.
Females similar to males, but more stocky.
Fish information (behaviour and breeding):
A peaceful species well suited to life in a community tank. Does not nip fins. Can be shy, so keep in a decent sized group (five or more specimens) and make sure the tank has lots of plants and bogwood hiding places.
Not bred in captivity yet.
