A silvery fish with a pinkish-green. There is a notable sexual dimorphism. Males are smaller and have intense yellow colouration on the back half of the body, particularly the tail fin.

Fish information (behaviour and breeding):

Peaceful and easy to breed. These fish feed primarily on algae and insect larvae, but will accept flake. Gestation lasts about 6-8 weeks, and up to 40 fry are produced. These can be easily raised on newly hatched brine shrimp, algae, and finely ground flake.
