Botia dario (Queen Loach, Botia geto)
A very active loach which spends the majority of its time scavenging for food. They are very social creatures and ideally should be kept in a group. A very attractive looking fish which are excellent for a community tank. Not seen that often in the shops.
Fish information (behaviour and breeding):
Peaceful fish and the most ideal tank conditions are a well planted tank with plenty of hiding places.
They will accept most foods and especially like frozen bloodworm and brine shrimp. Also quite partial to cucumber (boil a slice for around two minutes before placing in the tank).
There are no reports of these fish having been bred in aquarium conditions.
