This attractive loach is completely covered in oblique yellow and brown stripes. These loaches are relatively large when mature, and since they must be kept in groups, they are not a good choice for a very small aquarium.
Fish information (behaviour and breeding):
A very sociable loach that cannot be kept singly. Completely peaceful, this species does well in community tanks. Individuals will engage in brief tussles with one another, but they are clearly much more at ease when kept in groups of four or more than when singly.
