Datnioides undecimradiatus (Thin-bar Datnioides)
A large, laterally compressed fish with a series of thin, slightly oblique vertical bars running down the flanks. The overall colour is cream or light brown.
Fish information (behaviour and breeding):
Though predatory, these fish are not especially aggressive and can mix well with community fish too large to eat, such as big catfish or barbs. As far as diet goes, while small fish are its natural prey, it readily adapts to frozen foods such as prawns and mussels. Juveniles will eat various small invertebrates such as insect larvae.
There are no reports of this fish being bred successfully in aquarium conditions.
