Fish information (behaviour and breeding):
Peaceful schooling fish, easily disturbed, and so should only be kept with other placid species.
Not easily bred. An egg scatterer, the eggs are placed among leaves and hatch in about 15 days. The young fish will eat various small foods including Liquifry. Spawns most readily in slightly soft and acid water, although hard, alkaline water appears to be best for routine maintenance of these fish.
