Pelvicachromis sp. ‘Blue fin’
Similar to P humilis in overall shape and colour, but distinguished by its blue unpaired fins.
Fish information (behaviour and breeding):
Not a widely traded species, but presumably similar to other Pelvicachromis , being a territorial fish when breeding but otherwise tolerant if not overcrowded. Breeding can be presumed to be standard for the genus, with pH being a key factor in sex determination, a neutral or slightly acidic pH probably being required for an even balance of sexes.
|Family Group:||African Cichlids|
|Water Parameters||Soft, slightly acidic water preferred|
