Hyphessobrycon wadai (Blueberry Tetra)

Popular in Brazil this stunning tetra has a natural distribution which can be found in the upper basin of the Rio Tapajós.

Its exuberant colour, only fully appreciated in real life (with blue and purple body and red fins, is appreciated amongst tropical fish keepers. Their orangey colour is overlaid with a captivating metallic purple/blue colour, similar to that of a blueberry (hence the name).
