Four Barred Tigerfish available at Wildwoods

17 December 2018

Easily confused with Datnioides microlepis, the Four Barred Tigerfish is a species that is not so commonly traded and invariably more expensive. It has a number of thick, oblique bands on the body, but no speckles or incomplete bars in between them. The ground colour is silvery white, though this may become more yellowy or grey as the fish mature. This fish can get relatively large and therefore they require adequately sized accomodation. In their natural habitat they are a predator. As long as they are kept with fish of a similar size they are unlikely to be aggressive and at full size they do look very impressive.

Wildwoods currently have just four fish in stock and to buy now for next day delivery, please click here.
