Wildwoods: New Stock (Ready To Reserve)

30 March 2020

Wildwoods have some cracking new stock right now. Although shipping is temporarily suspended due to Covid-19, we are still taking reservations for fish.

All you need to do is email us on info@tropicalfishfinder.com and let us know what species you would like us to reserve for you. APC have not given us a date for when their fish shipping service will be running again, but we can certainly make note of your reservation to secure the fish you would like us to ship once APC are running again.

Wildwoods have some wonderful Dwarf Cichlids in at the moment. Specifically worth mentioning are the beautiful Apistogramma (Apistos) which are small brightly coloured fish with a lot of personality. While they may not be the easiest of all fish to care for, they are certainly beautiful and fun, making them a very worthwhile and exciting species to care for.

Some Dwarf Cichlids available are:

Apistogramma agassizii
Apistogramma cacatuoides (Cockatoo dwarf cichlid)
Apistogramma erythrura (The Red Tail Mamore Dwarf Cichlid)
Apistogramma baenschi (Inca Dwarf Cichlid)
Apistogramma macmasteri (Macmaster's Dwarf Cichlid)
Taeniacara candidi (Black Stripe Dwarf Cichlid)
Nannochromis parillus

The Pencilfish which have come into store are stunning too. Only a few to name are:

Nannostomus marginatus
Nannostomus beckfordi (Golden Pencilfish)
Nannostomus trifasciatus (Three-lined or Three-stripe Pencilfish)
Nannostomus mortenthaleri (Coral Red Pencilfish)

Enteromius Jae (Jae Barb) is a species of cyprinid fish which like other sub-Saharan "barbs" was formerly placed in the genus Barbus, it has now been reallocated to Enteromius. A very pretty little fish, peaceful and schooling.

A really interesting addition to the stock at Wildwoods is the L10a Rineloricaria sp. (Red Lizard Whiptail Catfsish). This catfish is peaceful and not territorial. It is a very enchanting looking and interesting fish with simple conditions of keeping. The Red Lizard Whiptail has a very long and slender tail. These plecos develop a brilliant red colouration as they mature.

It is worth mentioning that there are also some fantastic male Betta splendens in at the moment too. The prices for these wonderful Fighter Fish range from £9.95 - £39.95 depending on the variety. Some to name are:

Candy Cane Koi
Crowntail
Butterflies
Plakats
Samurai
Half Moon
Delta
Veiltail
